To be a bit hash; no it doesn't. It doesn't show love or enthusiasm at all, all this is, is a "cool design". Graphic Design isn't about the coolest effects or brushes, but what you communicate through the images you make. This is actually some of the most important things you'll ever learn, so think about this
If you lack the skills for completion then you can get help from all the photoshop/illustrator/design/typo-wizzes here and at other forums. However -your- creativity, ideas and expression no-one else can help you with. Just a thing to have in mind
Don't scrap this though, but rethink it. You have the ansver; I love design. It's the ansver to the question "What do you love?". You shouldn't stop there though. Ask two more question; "What do I love about design? Why do I love design?" - if you can ansver these two questions with a visual piece then congrats!
