I think it needs to be simplified a lot. I like the brake rotor or whatever with the flame, maybe you can ditch the car and the star.
Also i would use less colors try and keep it to two colors unless you are going to use gradients and such, but it should also work as two color and one color in case he needs cheap printing work done.
