This is a nice design, but I would have done some small changes:
1. Ditch the round images left of the "news".
2. Center your logo better.
3. Make a clear switch from header to image. Maybe a stroke would give it an eighter more profesional look.
4. Beware of your homepage. This page is very good for a blog, but give some teasers man. People are in a rush, and if they get convined in 10 seconds, they could drop you. Just a tip.
You got tallent for webdesign, but don't overdo things like the round images at the left side. If you choose those solutions, at least make them smooth. Looks pixelated right know. Wish you luck.
