Don't specialize. Diversify. I think YouTheDesigner had a good article a while back stating that a lot of companies are looking for a "SuperDesigner" that can do it all. The more creative elements you can handle the more valuable you are.

I think I asked a while back on somebodies business card critique whether a position of Graphic/Web Designer was the way to go or to just leave off the title and focus on "Design Solutions" meaning you can a bit everything. I never received a reply but I still believe it is a valid question. Your portfolio should showcase a bit of everything I believe but not too much of one specific field.

The answer to your question is ADVERTISE ALL OF YOUR SKILLS! This is coming from somebody who has talked to plenty of companies in the market looking for people like that. If you don't fill comfortable with that then specialize. Depends on what you want.

My question is what is the title of a "SuperDesigner" and how do we authenticate that, I guess????
