Default Displaying Images in Firefox

Any rules of thumb you guys follow when displaying images (bg or otherwise) in Firefox?

My other images are displaying for me just fine (the ones I have in unordered lists), but I can't get the main logo (an important image!) to display. Wanted it to function as a text-replacing bg image, but I can't even get it to display when:
1) a linked image
2)image wrapped in a div
3) relatively-positioned element
4) attatched to an unlinked anchor
5) included in an unordered list.

It's not even showing up when I turn off CSS display in my FF toolbar, so I believe it's beyond a CSS problem.

Note: It displays fine in Safari in any and all of the above incarnations.

Thoughts?
