I think it looks pretty cool. The colors flow somewhat decently and overall is nice. I want to see how it would look printed out!
Oh and to answer your questions about showcase/crituque.
The Showcase forum is usually for finished works although people will still critique them.
The Critique forum is usually where Works In Progress and other unfinished works go.
