The only tip I have is to practice (on paper). Study the structure of other peoples letters. Start by doing simple block letters to get a feel for the structure and then eventually start distorting the letters and adding extras, like arrows or whatever. It's important that the letters have flow (hard to explain). But there is no "method" really, that's the beauty of graff. You can do whatever you want. If you keep practicing you'll eventually develop your own style. It takes most people a few years though to start developing solid letter styles so yeah practice, practice, practice.
