I'm currently doing a website for a Danish Photojournalist and good friend of mine. He would like to eventually be able to write news and upload photos himself. I want to use Wordpress for this but I've never touched it before and I haven't got a clue about PHP. WPcandy mentioned you just have to memorize tags, but would you not need to know what tags do what or will I be able to figure it out? Also I'm planning on using Lightbox 2.0 for the gallery. Is it possible to get Wordpress to automatically add Lightbox 2.0 to new images that he uploads or is there a plugin of some sort?

If you're comfortable with the basic website design and coding in XHTML/CSS you could create a template from the default, it can take some time to see through the PHP snippets but if you read them carefully you can usually get the jist of what they do!

By leaving these in place and pasting in your own web code around them it can be quite simple to produce a custom template.

I came across THIS Wordpress plugin that allows the easy inclusion of Javascript Accordion and Lightbox. I never ended up using it in the end, but from a quick look it gives lots of options in the Wordpress Admin area.

Thanks spoongraphics! That was just what I needed. I'm quite comfortable with XHTML/CSS so I'll give it a go. If I run into problems I'll just annoy you guys with my questions

I'm very familiar with (X)HTML&CSS and may help out with tricks, bug fixing, code optimation and validation of Xhtml and Css.

How about making an category dedicated to coding?
