litho is cheaper as this is done in higher runs,
the more you order the cheaper it gets.

it all depends on quantity if you are generally wanting 0-100 copies digital tends to be the best bet, the downside to digital is it's not using actual ink it's using a powder toner that sits on top of the paper and can have a tendency to either flake or chip depending on how much it's handled. the pro's are quick turnaround and passable quality prints.

Litho is great but for quantities over 100 normally the cost gets better. Litho is expensive because of setup and making printing plates. Printing tends to soak into paper better and there the ability to handle paper without messing up your print. Also the quality of a litho print is much better. for example a digital copy is generally a 300-600 dpi print with a low line screen. A litho print can be printed up to a 300 line screen and on average it's 1200-2400 dpi after it goes though a rip.

So depending on your project if it need quality then go litho
if you just need to get the job done and quality isn't the most important part then get it done on a copier.
