I used to subscribe to Print, Communication Arts, and a handful of the Computer Arts Mags when I lived in the states. Computer Arts Projects and there other ones where my favorites by far. Such cool stuff in there. I've moved to digital and I don't buy any more physical books or magazines. If I was in the states I would be tempted to subscribe though. I might have to cheat on that one. Blogspoon made a good point tough that their topics do repeat periodically. When I was a design student though it felt like getting a new video game to play with each month.
I don't have any magazine down here in Venezuela. http://www.computerarts.co.uk/home has some pdf downloads so you don't have to buy the magazine. For Print if you go to Borders often you don't need to buy the magazine. You could just look at it there.

Aarlev,
Computer Arts have a handful of magazines. They each cater to a different topic. One is based on creative projects so it covers mutiple programs, but its focused on tutorial based projects. I know there is one focused on 3-D as well. I put a link to their site above you check it out.
