I saw the other thread about Photoshop vs Pain Shop Pro at http://www.yourdesignforums.com/gene...-shop-pro.html. There were lots of comments on it so here's what I'd like to ask you guys about in this thread:
Have you seen http://www.getpaint.net/ ? I saw 2-3 screenshots of that program and it looks similar to Photoshop. I know it's not as good as Photoshop, but don't you think it looks sweet? I'm surely going to try it out. A designer needs to know that tools are available to him right? ![]() |

Well, the good news is that it's free, so you can try it totally risk free. Rather than thinking of it as a light version of Photoshop, think of it as a servicable update to Windows Paint. I use it if I quickly need to resize or crop an image, for instance, when it's not worth the time to start up Photoshop. I certainly wouldn't recommend using it for image creation or composition.

Hm... I guess you right Nathan. Sometimes I just want to resize an image or just add some plain text to it, and I have to wait a lot for photoshop to open, and close after I've made the changes. I'll download it right away
