really off to a nice start.
one thing you might consider changing is the width of the K. right now, it seems it has taken alot of space of the whole logo and losing its consistency. maybe shrinks the far hand of the K in the same height as the N?

Going to sit on this idea for a while, make a rough of the logo in photoshop first before I do anything in illustrator. |

I have a really bad eye at like evenness and straight lines when drawing lol. But yeah I drew the ascender before the descender (wait those aren't ascenders/desecenders I'm rusty on my typography terms...Haven't taken that class yet ha, I think it's a stem? Or stroke?) than realized how wide it was and I had already started going over the pencil with pen so I just left it.Last edited by infektsu : 01-03-2008 at 06:12 PM. |

you are going around in the big city, waving your laptop around letting toxic design out to kill everyone (or at least... well, intoxicate them, hehe). This designtoxic is pouring out from your laptop as you ravage around (I'm currently picturing you as a quite big robothumanthing). If all your design-toxic is bursting out, and YOUR not wearing a gas-mask, then it will affect you too right? So it could just as easily be a logo of you, ready to pour your toxic onto the rest of us ;D I'm not telling you to do this or that, your own logotype should be something you are comfortable with, I'm just telling you not to rule anything out ![]() |

. I guess it just comes down to taste. I'd rather have something more abstract I suppose. Thanks for all the input though, and imagery ![]() |

Hmm came back from being afk for a while. Not really liking the logo when I start to re-create it on the computer.
Back to sketching. |

I love the typography approach to this and I do understand the idea of the gas mask. I would say this in contrast you wouldn't want to make it to busy. One logo element is enough in my opinion, clean and simple yet effective. Of course across all of your branding from your letter head and other collateral it is important to keep it a little toned down to ad a sense of professionalism. Solid attempt and I say mock this up as is and let us have a look. So what color palettes are you leaning towards, I know you may be leaning towards red, please try multiple approaches I would be curious to see them.

Ok so now that I'm settled back in Jacksonville (was on winter break). Here are some quick sketches I did tonight. I have it split into 4 groups. "Cells" - 'Hazard" - "Masks" - "Combined" (those are just were I took "inspiration" from).
Anyways if I'm liking a couple of them, but my favorites so far from each group are. #4 from Cells, #5 from Masks, #1 from Hazard (my fav out of all of them), and #1 from Combined. Maybe you guys could give me some more insight/ideas. Thanks ![]() |

My vote is for hazard number 1 because i think it an effective symbol, it has meaning and i like the fact that there is an ! and an i for the logo name infektsu.
