I agree with what's been said mostly. I think the logo has good potential. Great start. My suggestion would be to create a tighter mock up in Illustrator and post that, and I would like to see what it would look like as a tight B/W & a color mock.
I know it's just a sketch...but maybe play with the spacing between 'f' & 'e'. At first glance my eyes almost want to read it as 'Inf' then 'ek' then 'tsu' as individuals even though I can clearly tell they are part of the same type family. Also maybe try to shorten the 'K' and bring the 't' in closer to make it flow better. Maybe even try connecting the 'k' & 't' the same way you connected the 'e' to the 'k' Just a thought. Hope you follow up with posts on this logo. I would like to see a final version. - CM |

The typeface looks great! Good old marker & ruler still do the trick.
Maybe incorporate a biohazard symbol look in or with the cells. That would scream "infection" to me, and you seem to be favoring the triple circles already. |

Just saw your post with the concept sketches (I don't always read these things through before talking like an ass)--I still like the biohazard best, but blend it with the cell-like biological look of your first post.

You could extend the S into the U as well, if you feel like doing some more chaining.
as for a logo, I think a gas mask would look cool, but i agree with you that it is anti-infection. a syringe might be too abrasive, conceptually. I TOTALLY agree with the biohazard concept. you're so close to it anyway. |
