Need some help with some ideas

Hey everyone. So I'm working on my new identity (infektsu) which is "Infects You" - Infecting you all one at a time™

Anyways, I already have a custom typeface sketched out that I want to use. Now I'm trying to come up with a visual element to use when the typeface is absent (logo). Just trying to get some ideas on paper, but I'm brain farting. I keep coming back to like a cell, but it looks kind of goofy. I want something nice and pro looking and at the same time simple.

So if any of you guys can throw some ideas at me, some key words or something to help get my mind going that would be great. Trying to do all this on 2 hours of sleep probably doesn't help much.

Well I think I just came up with one I like. Still need to come up with a few more. I'm going to do some a decent sketch and post for some critiques.

Yea, post your sketches and ideas up on here so we can help out. I was thinking a virus-like cell too. Mabye a syringe?

I was thinking syringe too, but it's not that easy to stylize and make unique, but you can try

Other than that just write down a few words and do a good old-fashioned brainstorm. virus, syringe, needle, doctor, blood, disease, facemask etc... There are a lot of possibilities

It's however hard to give you any pointers without knowing more what you want though.

Whoa, I think that if you made a really nice looking gas-mask it would be incredible.

Nice idea, can't believe that didn't enter my mind. Anyways here's a quick one in marker. Suppose to be like 3 cells joined together with a "virus" type thing...yeah...

Is loving this!! both the typeface and the icon! you should try out combining it with the gas-mask idea, maybe by making the bottom circle slightly larger, maybe adding some kind of pattern to the top two.

edit: also, this is perhaps stuff you have already concidered doing in ai but I'd kern it more together, especially the f-e and the k-t. the extender from the K seems to slash the stem of the t pretty nicely, cut it abit shorter and you can slide it under there

Thanks man. Yeah I'm definitely re-doing this all in illustrator

That was basically a rough sketch with felt tip pen and no ruler so the kerning and tracking is off. I was thinking about the gas mask. I don't think that would work because it would be like "anti-infection" know what I mean?

Holy crap that is amazing. I love the typeface. Absolutely beautiful.
As for the logo, I'm with alyCe - maybe incorporate a gas mask.

That is really coming along. When you get something on the computer, post it up ASAP.
