Hi,
I am a forthyear masterstudent graphicdesign and typography from Belgium. And for my graduation year I have one big project to work on, and make a thesis round. My topic is communism and Nazism, I want to make all the graphic design this year arround the certain way of communicating the communists, and the Nazi-germans did. I want to use there language(pictural) and there icons, symbols, typography, colours,language... in a different context. I want to place them in a different context so the spectator gets to see an image/poster/book design that reminds him about communism or nazism, but the message behind the poster will be somethng completely different. And I need them to think about the real message behind the work I realise this is one hell of a task, and I really cant find people who did something simmilar before (or are working in the same trend as I do) That is why I want to ask you guys if you might know contemporary designers, who worked with the pictural language of those WW2 groups, so I can get in touch with them, and find more information about the topic I am working round. Or maybe you are interested in what I am willing to do, and want to join me with some discussing,brainstorming,designing,... I would like to hear from you! Thanks in advance. Dries |

Sounds like a very interesting topic, but I'm not sure I know any designers off of the top of my head that have done this before, will def taking a lot of research online and in libraries.
