I was considering the macbook too, but I'm not sure if I would use a laptop that much...besides I really want that 24inch wide screen on the iMac =)

I use to be anti-mac but, that was because I was jealous 'cause I could never afford a one
 . I saved up about $2,000 and took out a $1,700 loan last year and bought a brand new Mac Pro. Quad core 2.6 xeons, 500GB hd, ATI 1900xt, 4GB of ram...I have never been happier as a designer. This thing flies and it's so easy to operate and multi-task. Especially since leopard was released (features like spaces help a lot). But just keep in mind the computer does not define the user. Buying a mac will not make you a better designer. I had a lot of people try and convince me that before hand, and I would own them with my slow PC. |

I currently use both, although since getting my Mac I will slowly transfer to mac based stuff. I use PC in my office job Im begging them to buy me a mac but they wont

I really love the way Macs look and work, but they are just no practical. Compatability is a major issue and they are soo expensive. For now I am sticking to good old PC
