Ok, I though it would be fun to see how you all deal with a little challenge. It's not a real "contest", there are no prizes, no "we'll pay you if we use it", nothing. Just an open thing for everyone to spill some creativity into. You can choose your own method, if you want to cut and glue manually, draw, make a vector, use photomanipulation or whatever. Using your own pictures is a plus, but if you want to use stock there are no rules against it. There are two "tasks", but you are free to choose one, or do both
![]() The brief: 1)Everyone got a favorite CD, movie or book that inspires you and makes you feel better. Make a cover for it 2)I assume everyone here likes graphic design, but what does it mean to you? Make a poster for "Graphic Design Conference", it has to contain where it is, when it is and somehow illustrate what design is to you Go nuts!! I hope to see some great entries here, although there isn't a prize it can be a great "personal piece" to your portfolio, if you put some energy into it! Now go get inspired, dig up your creativity and make us drool!

I'll kick this one off then. This is a cover for my favorite book called "Papillon" which means "Butterfly" or "Sommerfugl" in Danish. I haven't been able to find a Danish version of it so I made one
It's a true story set in the 1930's about a French guy who gets sentenced to life imprisonment in the penal settlements of French Guiana. The guy is innocent though, and the whole book is about him constantly escaping prison so he can go back to France and get his revenge. The prison cell is a photo I took in the S21 torture prisons in Cambodia, and the butterfly is from www.stockvault.net ![]() ![]()

Can you guys see the handwriting on the bottom left? I can't see it at all on my monitor at home so I'm just wondering which of them is not displaying it the way I want it.
Looking forward to seeing your movie poster design Gino!

Make sure the image file isnt too big in file size. try linking the image after uploading it to a image hosting site.
