What if Great Art Masters of the past were Senior Art Directors of magazines?
Problem:
Managing editors and art directors of today's media publications should incorporate and embrace ideas and methods from art history. What publication would a great artist such as Leonardo Da Vinci be an art director of today?
Here is a list of great artists from art history and the publications that they would be perfect for doing:
- Paul Cezanne - Food & Wine
- J.M.W. Turner - Travel & Leisure
- Sandro Botticelli - Cosmopolitan
- Andy Warhol - US Weekly
- George Bellows - Sports Illustrated or Urban Magazine
- Paul Gaughin - National Geographic
- Goya - Newsweek
- Raphael - Vanity Fair
- Carravaggio – Theatre
- Manet - Playboy
- Leonardo DaVinci – The Wall Street Journal
- Degas – Dance Magazine
- Louis Jacques David – Fortune Magazine
Please advise me on what I should change or add before I embark on this project. I need ideas, artists who are more fitting, more magazines, and concepts. Thanks Everyone!
