Gimp
hi, michael.
there's the gimp, but it's not the same thing. photoshop still has some important features that gimp doesn't support.  don't know any other free graphic editor. Happy new year!  |

I think photoshop is pretty much the only program that gets the job done well. If you are a student, you can get it for around $300 at the Adobe Education Store.

If you're on a mac you can tray Pixelmator. I believe it is only $60.
