Creative Atmosphere

While designing I like to just tune out of everything else physically around me and focus on my thoughts.

I say this because I worked from home yesterday and noticed a substantial creative difference in sitting at my desk in front of my balcony doors listening to music. I just feel like I didn't have to worry about somebody looking over my shoulder and judging what I was doing or have my work phone ringing or have someone defocus me in anyway.

I felt free to just design and listen to whatever I wanted. I say this because I read where Gino mentioned he liked working from home.

I thought I would get some comments from our community on what atmosphere you find most creative.

Well since I am a minor, I have only had experience working from home. I enjoy it! In my room, with my new "office" setup, listening to my favorite music, just designing. I hear what you are saying! It is very relaxing and enjoyable.

Yeah my fav place is working from home. i like listening to music and such. Since i run a lot of sites though i get a lot of emails and instant messages so home can be a bit distracting, but I still prefer it.

I also prefer working at home due to the feeling of freedom from time restraints and 'lurkers.'

However, I think there is something to be said for an environment of people working hard toward a common goal. Often, I find this sort of environment presses me to work HARDER (not necessarily more creatively), and I feel that whatever I do, it needs to be up to the standard of the workroom.
