What the project calls for is using an existing, up-to-the-minute, "trendy" icon. A newly created concept won't work for this project. The icon needs to be already in the marketplace and easily recognizable - I just need to identify what's the "newest" trend.
We've pretty much exhausted the skulls, are presently doing peace symbols. I agree that the leaf/tree is probably what's next. Is there anything else up-and-coming? Thanks for all the input. |

Light effects in logos are pretty rare but look like some of the next styles. Highly graphic designs with great functionality.
Showing skill rather tha trend is always a bonus.

Thanks for the input but I think you're missing my point.
Skill, creativity, etc. are all important but what I'm trying to do is identify a trend - not create one. The end customer wants the current trend that everyone else has. The end customers are sheep - what icon will lead the sheep? |

reflections in the logo - helvetica font. some random logo which means nothing. that'll work.

Does anyone remember back in the late 90's when trendwhore was the 'in' thing? You remember; those tiny blocks of text, grids, 45 degree arrows, and random 3D abstract renders?
