I've just upgraded from a Canon 30D to a 40D and love it... I would highly recommend it. It is either pricey or very cheap depending on how pro you want to go, but I picked it up with a very nice 28-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS lens from Amazon for $1,100... selling my other camera with a similar lens for $900, it was a raw deal.
But anyway, if you are thinking about getting serious into photography I would suggest going with either Canon or Nikon since they will offer you the most down the line, and will retain their value. |

Michea, I just bought the Olympus E-510 last week! It came with 2 of the lenses you mentioned, and I'm thinking about the macro lens in the near future. I'm just starting to REALLY learn the technincal side of photography, but, so far, I love this camera. (Big jump from the Olympus C-740 Ultra-zoom I used before!)
