CSS means cascading style sheet. It is file , extenstion is .css writenn to appy a specific common style and fonts and design. A html TAG "LINK" is used to connect the .css file with that page. This tage is placed inside the header TAG. Viewer can't see the CSS file. One change in the .CSS file will refelect to all pages in the web site. Writing CSS is an art. I will have to wirte my own .CSS file for the new design of my site name Custom Web Design.

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are just now starting to be widely used among browsers and Web developers are learning to be more comfortable with them. Those of you who use HomeSite 4.0 know that they are eventually going to take the place of tags such as <FONT>, which have been deprecated in HTML 4.0

CSS is an abbreviation for Cascading Style Sheets. Style sheets are simply text files (.css ), composed of lines of code that tell browsers how to display an HTML page. They give the designer more control over the appearance of a webpage by allowing to specifically define styles for elements, such as fonts, on the page. By using CSS one could separate HTML content from its appearance, distinguishing style from structure.
