Does anyone here use Google Analytics for their sites (or sites they manage)? Just wondering what users think of it...

Google analytics is an important part of running a website. Anyone who owns a site should use Google analytics to monitor statistics and such!

I agree with you Gino. Google analitycs is a key element of running a succesful website
. It's really imporant to know how the traffic comes and goes. Not all the futures of Google Analitycs are truly useful, but overall, it's one important tool for every webmaster.

So I initiated GA about a week ago (my last post) then forgot about it. Checked it today, and I can't believe the level of detail you can get!
Obviously this is great from a marketing/content/structure analysis standpoint . . . that I knew going in. But I was surprised by how much technical info you can gather: knowing what percent of your viewers are using which browsers, screen resolutions, color settings, Flash versions, etc. and how that affects their viewing tendencies . . . incredible. Google really will take over the world someday. They know everything about us . . . and accessing that info is a breeze! ![]()
