Hi, I have just got this finished visually, going to add the content to it over the weekend. Let me know what you think.
http://www.drewswebdesign.co.uk/tutorials.html It is going to contain tutorials I like, I have done and also ones that people send me. I have got a friend who is creating lots at the mo and needs a place to put them. Thanks in advance. All comments welcome

I don't think the identity/logo and the colors of it fits the rest of the design. If you like your logo, then try to design the site around that. The multicolored bars and "bubbles" look like they're just randomly thrown in. Also I don't understand the purpose of the other multicolored bar in the bottom. Keep in mind that usually less is more and you already have a very strong and bold design element in you top left colored bars.
I would get rid of the glow on your logo. It looks tacky imo. And then keep the rest of the site in the colors of the logo. Or If you insist on having the multicolor you need to make everything else simple. White Logo and black Background perhaps or keep it grey and have a black footer. Black looks good with strong colors. Try to mess around with positioning of the menu as well. Just my 2 cents..

Take a look at it yourself, feel how your eyes fall, and in which order
For me, my eyes are going EVERYWHERE, the only place they settle are on the corner-flag-thing, then they carry on spinning around on everything... well, everything except the content. Design is supposed to be functional, and the function of design is to present content.

It feels like those colorful elements are just floating in space and aren't apart of the overall design. I think you need a more of a defined layout such as :
HEADER --------- CONTENT --------- FOOTER |

Thanks for the comments, the page is nowhere near finished yet. Once the content is on it it will all look a lot better. I was just hoping that someone would think it was not too bad. Had so much shit comments and criticism from my boss about other stuff. I just dont think I am cut out to be doing this, even though it is they only thing I have ever enjoyed.
Thanks again everyone and see you around....

Looks pretty nice. The colorful idea is great but a little overdone. Here are some suggestions:
-Take the outer glow off "Drew" -Make the rainbow banner at the bottom fade into the background. -And since you are trying to achieve a multicolor look, I think it'd look nice if you made the links different colors for the navigation. |

Of course you are. And if you enjoy what you do you're in it for the right reasons. Don't see criticism as a negative thing but a way to make you improve your work. Sometimes people point out things that you didn't think of yourself and it makes you see things from a new perspective. Passion, hard work and being able to take negative as well as positive feedback on board is everything in the world of design. Keep it up!
