Setup for a
My shop is growing faster than I can handle on my own so I'm hiring an in-house web developer. He starts next week, so I'm trying to get him a great setup. The questions I'm posing to any experienced developers out there are these:
What are three things you could not live without in your day-to-day work?
What are three "extras" that, while not absolutely necessary, you feel really improve the quality and/or quantity of your work?
I'm a designer myself, so I've got the basic "creature comforts" needed for sitting at a computer most of the day pretty well figured out (big secondary display, comfortable chair, proper lighting, et cetera). I'm looking for more input on hardware, software, etc. that a web developer would really appreciate having and find useful. Any insight is GREATLY appreciated!
