It's getting better. I like the wood in the background, and the simplified design. But you need to rearrange the boxes at the bottom, so overall, they are the same width as the main body. That threy it way off for me.

Thank you for your feedback once again. This really helps.

I fixed the boxes at the bottom and lightened the background so the wood texture looks warmer and not so red. Here it is

Ah yes, much better. However, now the .com in your logo throws me off, because it isn't really aligned to anything. Its kind of inbetween the uppercase and lowercase letters.

I am still looking for the right font for the name but thanks anyways. I am thinking about Gotham even though its pretty Barack Obama

NOW your getting somewhere.
Personally I still liked the dark header better though, the light one doesn't really match anything else on the site

Its "Pointy", "Green Pillow" would be another one. I dont remember where I got it from but it didnt cost anything. PM me if you would like me to send it.

That's "Whitney" and its licensed but its beautiful.

I am still learning CSS so I cant code the site yet...here is another idea, I think its the best so far. www.julianhennig.com/paperbased.jpg

Looks pretty cool. I like the paper in the background, it fits nicely. However, I don't think you need the anchor at the bottom to go to the top. Also, the side bar is set a little low. I'd try to align it with the top of the paper. And now, I don't like your header font for Julian Henning. It's the only sans-serif font on there and it looks funny and out of place. Try a serif font.
