Default Brutally Honest Critiques Please

I haven't ever really submitted a site to css galleries before and I am going to finally do so with the latest design iteration of my personal site, but I want to make sure it's as good as it can be. I think the typography could use some tweaking among other things. I appreciate the feedback. Here's the link:

First off, you accidentally typed the link wrong. Anyone else just needs to add an o to the com.

Second, I like your site! It's very bright, elegant and simple. It not over the top, it seems fairly easy to navigate. Well done!

Third, Kudos for being a Does it Offend you, Yeah? fan.

I like your design, I am not sure about the M on the right it kind of looks at the wrong angle but that might just be me - good design though.

The music-site clashes brutally with everything else. Also, to me, th frontpage is way too messy.

Agreed on the music page, it's a bit off.
For me, the right-hand sidebar is too busy, and detracts from the content. Also, it's fun to read your slag-off at the various elements of web 2.0 and then do so many of them yourself. I like that the boxes on the right are a bit "lifted" in the bottom right corner, but this nice, subtle effects drown in all the images and icons inside the boxes. But yeah, read your own article on web 2.0 and... follow it :P

@Michae: I agree about the music page.. I am at a loss for what to do. It needs a revamp for sure. As far as the front page goes I am going to get rid of the categories sticky-note and move them into a rollover drop-down menu on top of the current blog post image, so that will help clean things up.

Also, I asked for brutally honest opinions so thanks for coming across like a bitch :-)

@alyCe: Thanks for the critiques and yes, I am aware of the hypocrisy.

@webdevelopernew: I debated about that NM logo for a while and decided that everything was so symmetric it would be nice to throw something asymmetric in there, but you my be right.

Thanks everyone.

IE 7 gives an error listing your sIFR script, did you get the latest version or maybe it's not installed properly, I havn't checked.

*Contact form
- Submit button and the drop shadow bg look like crap unlike the rest of the design.

*Site width
- IE7 is not 100% fit on main page it actually kicks open white space to the right.

Do you have a drop down on your nav? If so it doesn't work, and if not I just saw parts of grey that seem misfitted from the design so only made an assumption.

The about page everything works except this cat. This is Who I Am not in fuctionality but in display just doesn't work well with the design.

@Justin: Thanks for all the critiques, they are extremely helpful. I develop in FF3 and Safari on a Mac so IE is an afterthought. I usually take care of IE compatibility at the very end so thanks for the headstart.

The Navs do not have drop downs, although they may at some point in the future if the need arises. I will fix the mis-fitted gray parts so that other people don't assume that they exist.

The drop shadow on the contact form does seem out of sync with the rest of the design, I agree - it was an experiment that didn't work out all that well.

As for the "Who I Am" section I agree and plan to move that completely out of the accordion and on top of it while also styling it to look more like the other sections.

Any thoughts on the [url="http://nuttersmark.com/music"]music section/URL]? I just got it redesigned and implemented last night. Thanks again!

No problem as for the music section.

Organization = Chaos
You draw more attention to the other artist that you favor making your music port non-existant or close to it. Keep it organized like your button says "mine & others".

To spice it up more graphics, to gain attention and focus from the users, you got to bait us viewers. More graphic interaction with the flash play (ex. http://blog.iso50.com/ uses a great designed flash player it flows with the design and make it seem more like a music clip)

I would keep other artist and current plays under your music for you want the first thing people see is your music.
