It looks pretty good so far, my only suggestion would be the bottom of the v looks weird like it was skewed or something it doesn't sit flat. Also I'd like to see the logo without the wavy dotted line under it. Other then that I think its in great shape.

I've seen this already (HOW?), but didn't comment there. I like the logo but as you've heard the V is a bit off. Actually I think the whole font is abit off, especially for a company like this. It's all nice and clean and if you fixed the wierdness of the V it would be a good logo for, say, a design firm. But there is absolutely nothing about the logo that says "Clothes, Skateboards, Design". With that much negative space it becomes very clean but looses all edge. Remember who you are designing for

edit: and as you see with the thumbnail, it really doesn't work in small sizes. How about upping the stroke a bit? If I were you I would try breaking some rules, do something less "nice", because as far as I've seen, the skateboard-scene isn't all about the nice and clean aesthetics are they?

I agree with alyCe that the logo doesn't scream "skateboards". Right now, it looks to clean cut. The V could be a standalone logo, but some kind minor elements needs to be added. Just a suggestion.

You might also want to kern o-k-e. they seem to look too far apart.

Cheers.

I agree with the 2 previous posts. To me it says business and not funky, skateboarding, young, etc... I'd incorporate a nice symbol instead maybe ala Element Skateboards http://www.elementskateboards.com/ or make it more "trashy" , "grungy" or go for something Hip Hop/street as skaters generally either listen to Hip Hop or Punk/rock

Maybe try to do some more research. Look up loads of other Skateboard companies to get a feel for the general style.

I agree...it will not reproduce well at small sizes...took the words out of my month. Maybe a larger 'stitch effect' would work with a different letter. You might try playing around with the font. Skakeboard is a sport mostly for younger kids and teenagers...It should appear to that target audience and beyond.
