Default Stupid Oil Corporations

Here is a poster that I have been working on. Its not for anything but for fun and experimenting with typography. So tell me what you think. Basically it talks about how the oil companys are taking advantage of us and our use of gas. I used the gas prices in the US to make the person using the gas. Hopefully the link works.

I love it. I'm always ranting about them as well.

A little off topic but I was wondering if anyone else notice that when oil goes up Gas Stations will jack their prices asap. But when oil goes down it takes them forever to lower their prices!

Wow, I thought it was all about "let's fight global warming", not "give us cheaper gas" :P

More constructive criticism to come

I wonder if this poster could be more abstract. In school we had to do a series of posters using letter forms but you could not form images out of the text or numbers you had to get across the concept and create a story using like letters in one words in another and it kept growing and getting more complicated.

So yeah I'd like to see this more abstract and less to the point to make people think more.

overall, i think it is a great design. Although it is somewhat hard to "crit" because it is small. If you gave thumbnail link to a bigger version, i think we could see its true greatness. Haha. But yeah, I think you did a good job on this one.

Keep up the good work.

I like it overall but a few things to be picky about:
the black figure "Oil Corp" is in a very awkward stance. That right leg is in a wonky position. Is he supposed to be taking the guy's wallet?
the text-guy's feet are pointed oddly, kinda like in a ski jump mid-air. i'd love to see a close up of him to read those prices. it's a great typography idea, methinks.
What's the stripe on the left side, other than the oil drop at the bottom? I see it gives a border to the car, but the gas pump on the right side doesn't have one.

I like everything except the car. It looks to boxy and not realistic.
