Hello. I've posted this design before, but I feel it has developed such that it deserves a new tread. The old one started to recive a very little amount of critique to, so a fresh start would be fine.

I would like to recive critique on everyting. Colours, positioning, typografi and every minor detalj.

Some comments:
- I know the languague is a bit too frendly. I'm going to remove the b******t and throw in some important information
- Anyone feels a navigation is missing? I've thinking about adding a blog section underneath the portfolio section, but that may not be the best solution. I know I've got to devide business and pleasure.
- I will add a footer
- Any other tips?

Overall its pretty nice. Somethings suggestions:

First off pretty cool colors, but experiment a bit more with gradients. And right now the whole site looks a bit mono-colored. I like how you added red to everywhere that you want people's eyes to wander, but right now it looks like finding a red dot in a batch of dough.

I like how the line to the right of the logo separates the left column. However, the "Your Choice" section's links look too close together vertically. Try adding a space.

Try centering the "2DropDesign.com" text in the logo.

And this is just probably me, but I don't think the scribble text looks right on your overall neat site. Just doesn't match.

Good work, and good luck with the site.

i like the layout in general, but it's interesting that your recent work listed is the website itself...
i like the "2" logo; shouldn't it be featured on the website's header? right now it's all text and solid color. I'd love to see something snazzy. after all, it is a design portfolio website, right? In general, it needs more flash (and I don't mean specifically the animation technology). it needs some zing, snazz, fance, pop. structurally and fundamentally it's well on it's way, though!

hope that helps

you REALLY need to divide your content instead of cramming it all up in one place. You got at least 4 pages worth of content that you have minimized and crammed into one tiny site. Think of your portfolio-site as your wardrobe, you don't want to throw all your clothes into it, you'd want to put your undies in one drawer and your socks in another

Divide, make an easy navigation and it'll be much better. You can afford to use lots of space for each section, right now it's way too messy.

Thanks for reminding me, add navigation. Instead of fitting everything onto one page, make multiple pages.

Cain: Thanks for your comments. I'm not a very huge fan of Web 0.2 Designs in generall, with their glossy everything, so maybe I've been a bit to dull her. I'll try putting in some gradients.

Centering the text in the logo will be done. It's just a simple mistake due to a lot of edits. I've gotten som critique on other forums to, and they seem to share your sight on the hand-written text. I'll try to add some graphic instead.

stereopattern: I'm not sure about the logo really. I can't really descide if I like the plane text version or the version in Recent Procject. I'll place it in the update so you can see for youself.

alyCe: I know: I'm not good with whitespace, but It seems very nice when it's used the right way. Looks like I got to be hard on myself. A menu will be added. Footer to.

Thanks everyone! I'll be back with an updated version in two-three days. We have something called "Winter Vacation" in Norway. Guess we're the only one really.

Thanks for taking the feedback. =D

One more small detail. Extend the border on the right and left to the top header too.

Hehe. Some minor details will be fixed during the coding. I'm not fixing such minor flaws in this stage, but thanks for remining me.

You guys has come up with some great points here! Think this design will look like hell when I'm doing some adjustments!

Just remember that it's YOUR portfolio and it should reflect Y-O-U as a designer, not what's trendy or what we forumwhores say. I would like more ducks on your webpage, just because but that doesn't mean it would be a good idea for you to put lots of ducks in your design. (I won't do it in mine either, I promise!!)

We can give you hints on your designs and what looks wrong for us, but don't get too stuck up in it. Caine says more gradients, I say less gradients, Gino says nooooo no gradients at all and stereopattern will keep talking about the ducks (!!!) but in the end, it's a matter of personal taste and style - remember, you can't please all the people all the time, but please yourself first and you'll see other people will get something from it too

also, here is some inspiration for your design

I hope I got what I meant through

Oh, a duck! So cure.

I love gradients when they are almost invicible. The header has a small gradient, but it's really hard to tell. It gives the site a little something extra in my opinion. The background-gradient is easy to spot, but I think i put in a small gradient in the Recent Project-section to.

Thanks for a great comment though, alyCE. Are you a women btw?
I feel that criqitques makes me grow like a designer. I have no education in design whatsoever, so it would slow down my devlopment as a designer if I hadn't been getting any critique. (Poor english?)

Although, as as summary, I feel that my design has grown quite a bit during the development. Thanks everyone. I think I'm on my way towards a pretty good design.
