Maybe center the quote as well (but keep the text left aligned)? It just looks a bit odd where it is, when everything else is centered. Also I'd show the back and the side of the book.

Yeah i think you need to play around with the typography some more, I'm not totally sold on the title fonts, but i like the circles and the quote.

yeah, you've got 4 different fonts going on, and none of them really have anything to do with eachother. it makes for a disjointed piece...

are there often quotes on the front of a book? i mean, more than "Simply amazing..." or something short like that? If you like to keep that around, I'm not sure it's in the right spot. I read that before I read the title, and that's confusing.

also, what do the dots represent? anything?

I think on "distressed" fonts you should do it manually, find a nice geometric font and do it yourself, go a lil' punk and DIY "Birth of a hero" is... well... you know... avant garde stolen, grunged and... well... it says DAFONT very loud and clear

(sorry for all the "...well" - just finnished a flash banner thingie and its five in the morning and I need a warm cup of tea and some sleep!!)

edit: loving the cirles/lights though. I actually think that it's minimalistic enough that you can add a tiny bit too them, so they "glow" a bit. I'm not saying "press outer glow" in photoshop but you know

Oh and by the way which program did you use? the circles are quite pixelated

You can tell that you used photoshop because the dots are pixelated. If you do use photoshop make sure your operating at 300 dpi. Illustrator will always be better for printing fonts and shapes. If you included a picture on the cover then I would say import it into illustrator then export a final from there.

I don't know why there is a logo at the top. Scratch the logo. I like the dots a lot but I agree that you should try some different font's. Fewer fonts is usually better IMO.

This says nothing about what genre this book is in. Is it fantasy? Historical novel? Science fiction? A story about monkeys?

It's wouldn't catch my interrest from the cover, becayse I wouldn't know a thing about what kind of book it was when looking at it.
