Worked on this poster yesterday, and I'm wondering what you all think about it. It's a bit busy, but I was trying to convey a sense of "hustle & bustle" or "goings on" or what not.
It's worth noting that this ad is to be displayed as 17x11"posters in the restrooms of sports bars, et cetera (1 per "privacy unit" shall we say) . . . so its a captive audience, not someone walking past. I don't have time to optimize the image for web viewing, so it's awkward to view in a browser--just view it in any pixel image viewer. Enough from me . . . comments? |

I love the colors! I agree with staur, the cards shouldn't be cut off. You've managed to capture the feeling you were after, but still the info comes trough good.

it is very busy for my taste, but it's pretty decent for a baseball schedule poster with all the info that you had to include. The only thing I don't like is the baseball cards and your logo kinda distracts from the poster.

You guys are right about not cutting the cards with the edge. These ads will be in frames, so maybe it'll look better with some physical barrier at the edge . . . but if I had to do it again, I would bring those cards in a bit.
Great point about the logo sticking out too much. Now I wish I'd converted it to orange or green to jive with the rest . . . color-flexibility was one of the reasons I kept my logo so basic in the first place! There's always next year . . . (sigh) Thanks for the excellent comments! |
