There's tons of things you could do from that one, just play around with the shapes you have, and try not to have it solid black, because that gives a kind of military feeling.
No no, don't mind at all. Rip it apart! Be gone Transformers! (no offence to TF fans though )

The problem with the colors is that it has to go on a red background on my web site and be consistent with the rest of the design. I've started playing with my initials instead, but it's just not looking right so I might just loose the logo and stick to what I've got already. (will post the site design when I get home from work so you can see what I mean).

Hey I just used the color I had as foreground color in photoshop :P You can replace the red with white when on a dark or colored backgrund, and grey when it's on a light one

Yeah I know but it doesn't really fit with the rest of the site design when it's more than one color. I tried black as well but it made it look like a site for a Japanese restaurant . I might just play with the typography instead. Anyways here's what I've got so far...

that double-A could become a killer logo.

i'd also be conscious of a conflict of styles--your logos seem to be rather edgy and tech-inspired, whereas your website's background is more stark and natural (with the wood grain texture). I very much like how your site appears now. are you just trying to find a logo to fill the red area above your name up there?

Play around with it a little, I changed it up in 2 minutes, I noticed the transformers look to but since it was started I figure I would play around too.

As I mentioned before, I don't think this red color fits on you site. The design is pretty "grunge" with old wood in the bakground. Don't use a totally fresh red then. It is a style crash.

This is really good work though. Wish you luck.

I quite like the red and the contrast it gives. I think you can mix different styles successfully. Design is a very subjective thing but If I'm the only person in the world who likes it, it's probably not a good idea to use it Will try some other directions. Cheers for the feedback!

@ Michae:

My name is Aarlev. The double "a" is the old way of writing "å" in Danish. You gave me a good idea with that though and I'm playing around with double a's now instead

@ Saywells:

Yeah I just wanted to have a logo to have more of an identity than just plain text. You're right about the tech shapes. I've moved away from that now and am playing with more organic shapes.

Ok I had a little logo session today. Here's what I came up with. Thanks for the idea with the double 'A'. Works better than SA. If anyone says Transformers I'm packing my bags and moving to Greenland to study Igloo construction instead.
