Default Should we redesign our logo or not ?

Our website really needs a refresh, it is about 7 years old (!) . We decided to have go for it but we're currently having an issue about our logo: should we change it or not.
The current logo has been around for about 10 years.
I am myself not convinced and I am currently listening to arguments from both sides.

The colour on the logo the first one on this page and the name "Corobori" are somehow related. The name is a phonetical translation of Corroboree and the colour comes from the Australian Aborigines flag. Why did I come to this ? Can't remember at all. This meaning has given me in various opportunities to broaden the conversation with customers in other area and talking about a subject, Indigenous Australians, few people know. Especially in Chile were I am based.

I have got a few questions:

1) From a general point of view why a business should change its logo ?

2) On another forum I have been told that writing ".com" in the logo is old fashioned. I thought that as all new logos don't show anything related to the industry we're in it would be a way to express it.

3) What do you think of the actual logo ?

4) Internally we designed a few logos and had other designed by another guy. On this page we uploaded all the logos we created including the current one. Which one do you like most ?

1.

I think you should change the logo to look modern and not just some place we used to buy from or whatever. You should also follow up the times and show that you´re still alive.

2.

Well, I think it´s a good idea to have ".com" in the logo, by that the customer is not confused whether it´s .com .org etc. And I guess the company has something to do with computers and not some food.

3.

I think the actual logo has a very good concept, but it just looks too old school. If a customer don´t know you, I think he/she might think that you are not a very professional company or whatever, because the logo doesn´t look very professional.

4.

I think logo number 3 is cool. I´m just thinking that maybe blue is a good choice of color, according to that it symbolizes technology. Number 9 and 10 are also cool logos in my opinion- my favorite is still number 3.

I think you should choose a logo number 3, 9 or 10.

Well I hope you could use my point of view, good luck from Designiac!

Seems you have your answers

I prefer the logos 7 and 8. Can't really choose between the two, because they are equally good, but I think 7 makes me smile more.

Interesting...

The question that popped up in my mind was that what does the company do?
Since your logo is supposed to reflect and brand your company.

At a first glance my favorite was nr 10.

I Visited your site and got a better understanding what you do and then maybe the logo 7 and 8 is a better fit but 10 is still good for your purpose.

The logos from 11 and forward has the wrong feeling to them like 12 to me feels like a logo for a hotel.

15 could be good if you work on it a little more because it feels like it has the connection with the Aborigines whitch you mentioned but still it is too complicated for digitalart.

This is my humble opinion...

Personally, I like the first one out of the new batch. It uses the mouse image to signify CLICK ON ME! and that goes well with a web design company. I don't know. It looks rather nice to me!

Keep up the good work!

I feel the same way as the above poster.

Both of them are an improvment but the first one of them was the one that caught me at my first glance. And that is usually the right one to go with.

After that it is up to you if you want to go with it or keep on working on it.

But great work!
