Yup, lots of potential. Just the fact that you build up a portfolio-site, and asked here show you that you can make it. Keep posting individual pieces here and take the critique you get and you'll be a star in no time

you are very skilled and i can really feel emotion in the things that you create.
there is however one aspect i am not liking: the navigation of the site.

it was a little difficult to know what i was clicking on what part of 'your world' you were taking me to. i read ur about me box and i was impressed, u explained yourself clearly, but the navigation to and from those points i did not get. perhaps a one page portfolio, or 2 links would be better.

i seem to be speaking as if i am an ace web designer but im not. lol. far from it.
sorry if it seemed harsh i did not intend it to be, just from my pov i found it difficult to get around.

your work is marvelous, and i do wish at 17 i had the determination and maturity that you possess.

Thank you so much for all the feedback!
Ok, yes it seems some people like the navigation fine and for some it's confusing. Sorry about that! Next layout(s) I'll have to work on setting up my navigation better!
And no it's ok, I appreciate you're honesty!

yeh i found it a bit hard to navigate - but don't be too quick in going for the " conventional " routine of making a site with header blah blah blah. the only way to predict future trends is to invent them, so experiment, you might come up with a navigation method which is unseen!

Yes, wise words I agree. I've always been a person who thinks outside the box and with anything as I go along I usually strive more and more to find new ways to do old things, so to say.

And part of the reason why the nav is a bit confusing is because the various sections. Well see, if you want the whole story (don't feel obligated to read it all, I tend to get a little long-winded when talking about a subject I'm passionate about), the layout for the "Eccentric Artist" section was orginally the layout, and the only layout, for the entire site. But the thing was, it was very kind of well, eccentric and a bit loud, and I felt like while I am most certainly eccentric (and loud!), that's not ALL I am... I wanted to create a layout that could represent more of me than just one part or style.

So I went back to my drawing board, and that's when I came up with the different chapters that reveal, at least the main, traits of what make me, me. Then since I did a different layout for the three chapters (I know most people don't call sections chapters, but I like to be creative, and I suppose chapters is actually a relection of my love for books) I decided to do different layouts for the Portfolio and Projects, and then one for the main page. Phew, so yes, turned out to be a lot of layouts and sections, and I think for some people it's a bit overwhelming. Most sites have simply one layout, so I think people feel like it's almost multiple sites packed into one. Basically I broke the rules a bit (story of my life haha) and I imagine some people don't like that. But that's ok, to each their own!

Oh well thanks! Glad I didn't bore you to death with my, not so condense, answer!

Well that's the funny thing though, as of this moment, I'm still not 100% graphic design is what I want to do. I love film equally as well, and film has been what I've desired more than anything to do, and for years graphic design has just been a "hobby", so... but with anything creative and art-wise, I like to put 110% into what I do, and I'm very self-competitive, I'd say, meaning I always strive to design a piece of work that's better than whatever I designed last. I also refuse to call a piece "complete" until I'm satisfied with it. And being my own worst critic, that does take a lot of time and effort!

Anyway, though I'm still a bit unsure now, I will say if I do decide to pursue graphic design I'm going to do it with all my heart and soul (as cheesy as that sounds! ) In general I'm a dreamer (big time) and I don't really like to settle for less, not saying I have to be the best (I don't think that's even possible!), but I do like to try and make an impact with any work I do, and not just fade into the background.

Ok, sorry this like turning into a biography or something!
