Do I have potiental?

Hi

I'm was wondering if I could get some feedback on my portfolio/graphic design work. I'm only 17, and I'm really just an amatuer, self-taught since I was 12, with a free little image program that I use, so I'm not a professional, please keep that in mind. I'm considering going to art school and going into graphic design as a career, but I'm not sure if I have potiental or not (regardless of the fact that friends and family and sometimes even strangers think I do... you know though, how friends and families can be a bit biased

) ... so any feedback or critque, or opinions on whether you think I have potiental or not, would be much appreciated!

yes you have a hell of a lot of potential. damn i wish i could train you. then together we could take over the world mwahahahahaha.

you are gunna rock the design world in a few years, see it now. love ur style.

And hey, I'm all for taking over the world... or at least the design world haha. Or taking over the world with design.

Your work looks great, keep up the good work! For your site id kill the splash page, you lose a lot of visitors if you have a click here to enter page. Also try and make it easier to get to your portfolio work. You want your work to be the main focus, nice site design though!

Thanks so much! And thank you for giving me some ideas on how to improve the site too. I'm not a big fan of opening pages ("Click to Enter" stuff), but the was a particular reason why I almost had to have that page. Perhaps though, instead of "Click To Enter", I'll have 2 options on that page for people to either go to the main site, or directo to my portfolio.

By the way, your t-shirt blog is rad. Clever idea, and I'm dying to buy some of those t-shirts you blogged about!

I would also dump the splash page. Also it is kind of confusing the way the site is laid out. I would simplify or condense it a little.

Thank you very much! Yes, I'm tempted to dump the splash page, and sorry about the confusion with the navigation. There are site maps around, but must confess, I should probably work on making it so people won't even need a site map! I don't really want to change the whole layout now, but next time around, I will def work on getting my navigation more simple and clear.
