Default SNG Furniture logo

Hi guys,
This is a new logo for an contemporary furniture company. The owner wants the "N" to standout from the rest. Also, I can't decide if the word furniture to be black or gray. Here is my design, critiques are welcomed. Thanks!

I'd personally go with black, although, looking back, the grey looks cool too. The black ties it alltogether, whereas the grey sets the two entities apart. That's how I see it.

The black is good, helps the N to stand out and ties everything together.

I think you should use a more interesting typeface than helvetica. Helvetica is amazingly awesome, but it doesn't really say contemporary furniture. If you want a similar non-descript font try frutiger or similar idustrial sans-serifs. Else than that I think a gray would look nice, maybe do like sensHXC said and try a darker gray
