New You the Designer Layout

Ok so you guys are the first to see the new blog layout I'm working on for my graphic design blog.

I'm trying to keep the layout similar and the colors similar, but just kind of improve on it and create a custom layout to replace the old modified free theme. This is still under construction, but let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

I will also be creating a new logo for you the designer and your design forums soon.

Loving the color scheme!

Only thing is I would say is that it's a bit side heavy o the right side. Both the RSS-box and the Resource-wall are very cramped so it kind of leans a bit that way. If I were to change anything I would try to put some air and whitespace in there, but besides that I really love the design! ^_^

My concern would be that the actual blog post seems almost like an afterthought--the columns to the right seem to be the focus of the page. For a landing page I think this is fine, but for the individual post pages I would maybe consider consolidating the two right columns down to one column and widening the post to give it some weight.

Otherwise, nice clean work.

Don't forget This isn't done yet =) There are going to be more blog posts on the left under the current one 5 to be exact. So it will be more balanced and I also need to add some stuff on the right such as a blogroll.

I'll send you guys an update once its more done, thanks!

Looks good so far. It's too early in the design process to give it a good critique

Looks good, very similar yet has its perks. I'm with Michael - it's a bit too early to tell. I will say though that I love the guy yelling in the header.

everything looks good. One suggestion maybe have a top banner thats not too overpowering. Keep it simple like other design blogs such as CPluv or DiK.

It looks smooth and the colors are matching well. I think you'll do just fine with the logos

. The navigation links from the top of the header are to simple, so keep that in mind, maybe you'll find something more creative thatn simple links for them
