Illustrator is a great program, try to master the pen tool its the most important one. Start doing tutorials online. Just search in Google for illustrator tutorials.

Try to get a Lynda.com tutorial Illustrator. They are quite nice and simple but useful tutorials. I learned a bit from the Illustrator One On One Series A friend got them all, I think from P2P sites, those videos are expensive, but anyway, check you lynda.com for more info

I'm afraid that's not possible. I never tried online subscription, but they say you can VIEW the tutorials online, OR you can buy a DVD version of the tutorial. I think the best way is to watch the previews of the tutorials you might want to see, and then buy the DVD from them.

I love the lynda wbsite. Im on my second year subscription. Its a litte steep as far as upfront cost, but for less than $400 a year you can beat it. Full access to professional quality videos and files is well worth it if you want to keep learning.
