Default Be Gentle....

I've been designing things for about a year now, I got into it through an interest in photography and later photoshop which began about 5 years ago. Some friends opened a snack bar and I did the sign and logo for them and that's my humble beginings.......

I'm putting together a website at the moment (very early stages as you'll see: ) Any tips and critisims welcome..!

That's some excellent work! I really like the Shades Bar, Snack Bar and April Flowers designs.

I like it. The logo/header is great and the navigation is easy and straightforward. I don't care much for the pattern in the bottom right corner and I don't think it fits in. Also I'd put a footer on of some sort to finish it off. Perhaps just 2 lines like you have in the top? In the photography section I think it would look better if the thumbnails were all on the left side of the line.

Your content is great which is the most important thing anyways. Great photos, is the top left one from Barcelona?

thanks for th input, I am unsure of the pattern myself. Yes thats in Barcelona I went there for a stack do last year and just about managed to stay sober for long enough to take some shots! Its at the top of a Gaudi appartment block called La Pedera.

Ahh yeah. I thought I recognised those statues . I love Barcelona! My favorite city in Europe so far. La Pedrera and the rest of Gaudis stuff is amazing!

I think the design looks great, but (there is always a but )
I think you could find a much greater way to present your pictures than simpleviewer, and if you do then at least customize it a bit, it looks very... simpleviewer

Simple viewer, agreed you have a point it is, well......simple viewer. With little experience and an estate agency to run http://www.boothproperty.co.uk/index.htm i needed a quick easy solution to getting my work displayed.

But overall positive comments I'm so pleasd!
