Default Feedback and Critique

This is a recent tee shirt design for a fashion label in US that iv been working on. It is a simple text based design, please give me critique. It is a rough outline, I am intending to go and edit it to have all the guidelines matching. Hit me up with some feedback.

I think it looks good, but it's hard to see from such a small picture, could you post it on a t-shirt template so that we could get a more accurate view on how it's gonna look?

t-shirt template... you know, like a picture of a shirt with the design on it to see how it would look?

You can find a T-shirt template here Copy&Paste...

I think you can still get the general idea from just the design alone though. I like it. Very neat, simple and fashion like. But I was thinking maybe you could try connecting the "P" and the "I" fully?

First of all: an O extends the height of, say an F. Maybe it's an intentional design element, but the cropping on the top of the O and the S looks a bit wierd.

(also noticed this applies to the & - if you do it intentionaly then you should do it even more so it becomes apparent. Now it just looks like a mistake)

Also, you should think about the placement of the print. To be quite honest the t-shirt right now is Bo-Ring! Yes, with a capital B, a capital R and an exclemation-mark! It isn't meant as a slaughter, it's meant as a constructive feedback, because if it's design for a "fashion label" you have to do a little bit more. That t-shirt wouldn't speak to me in a store, even less from a webshop. I know it's a mock-up and maybe you got lots of craaaa-zy ideas, but we feedback what you provide.

remember:
1)break some rules
2)it's all in the details

a t-shirt print doesn't have to be on the front chest unless you're printing from spreadshirt, which I'm assuming you're not.

Good luck

hey. cheers for the feedback.

the mock up i posted was indeed a rough design. the actual text design is the design for the label. the arrangement as to placement on the tee has not been decided yet, and that is mainly their area. i was kinda wanting to have the tee quite minimalistic. something like this.

http://www.usc.co.uk/shop/product/zo...nt_id=0&sale=0

im also playing with the idea of warping the logo across one shoulder?

oh and as for the lettering design, it was meant to be like that, but i can see what you mean. i kinda wanted to get a disjointed feel, as you can see i kinda wanted to continue it with the 'P' and the 'I' but thought less maybe more. thanks for ur critique, your sharp.

I think that depends on the fashion label. If it's an actual label, a simple design can work IMO. Look at D&G, Chanel, Miu Miu, Gucci etc. they all have simple and classic labels. If you're doing a design for a trendy rock type of t-shirt or whatever, then I agree, it would be Bo-Ring!
