Default personal project/self portrait

less graphic design, more digital art. but this is a semi-self portrait i just finished. it's sized at 3' x 4', and i'm trying to find a high-quality printer that will get me the kind of print i want. it'll probably end up framed in my home office.

tell me what you think. the second attachment is a close up.

Nice use of texture, really adds to the vintage/retro feel about the design as does the old wallpaper pattern. Is music something close to you? The speakers give me the impression music plays a part in your life.

Very cool. What are you printing it on? (Canvas, vinyl, paper, etc.)

I watched a demonstration a few weeks back at a commercial printer--they had this giant table-like jet printer that could print on pretty much any surface--they did a paneled door and it looked amazing! (Made me wish I wasn't renting . . . but I digress)

I'd love to make something like this for my daughter . . . I bet there's a lot of people out there who would love a personalized piece of graphic art like that.

Nice!!!! At first i didn't know those were speakers until the closeup but a blownup framed version of this would look nice!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone!

Yes, music is very important to me. That's a tiny me listening to a cassette player, and the music is essentially raining down on me.

Not sure what I'll print it on--maybe Vinyl.

I've made personalized posters for my brother and sister-in-law, and they were a hit! They've both got them framed in their living rooms. I highly recommend doing something like that for a loved one--if you have the time. It's personal and monetarily cheap!

here are a couple more close-ups at 50%...

i worked at a place with one of those printers. amazing.

i would suggest, particularly if you are framing it, using a heavy stock archival paper. some years ago i worked as a professional picture framer and the nicest piece of art in the world can look terrible if it is framed wrong.
nice work btw.
