Default Poster design

Hey all..
Just wondering if anyone could help me out with choosing a suitable program to design posters on. The guy who usually designs the posters is gone to australia. We have all the jpgs & would like to keep the original format. I just need a program that isnt overly difficult to use & will allow me to import the logo's etc.
here are some examples of the posters

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks again

I'd get a new designer if i were you... those posters are pretty awful. I recommend InDesign if you want to lay out posters... but you'll edit the imagery in Photoshop and other bits and pieces in Illustrator... so the Adobe CS3 package is the way to go imo... there's tons of tutorials online, and I'm sure most of the peeps here would be more than happy to answer your questions...

or you could just pay me to design the posters for you and I'll hook you up with the press-ready PDFs heh heh

i've never seen a techno flyer that ever looks good there is always way to much info for such a little space.

But I do most of my layout in Illustrator because I don't have Quark or InDesign.

Photo/image manipulation use Photoshop.

if your on a budget get adobe fireworks, it has some photoshop, some illustrator some flash. it works with psd, ai,and swf so no jumping between programs if you wanna work quick.
