I just stumbled upon this site yesterday and have spent hours checking it out so far. It is a very informative site, kudos.

I just recently graduated in december with a degree in art, i primarily took graphic design classes. Unfortunately the school I went to doesn't have much of a budget for art and as a result I feel like I am not as prepared as I could be for a job, in fact I am starting to think that I should have just learned on my own, or gone to an actual art school. So i have decided to take some time off from the job hunt to build up my portfolio and get as much experience as possible. I still have a lot to learn.

I'll be posting my portfolio in the critique section as soon as I can. I'm excited to get some feedback since it has been a few months since i have been in a critique. But, i guess for now if anyone has any interesting project ideas to build my portfolio that would be awesome.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone

Hey welcome to the forums we will be happy to help you here. Also there is no reason you can get some freelance gigs while you learn and build up your portfolio, but yes your main focus should prob be just to keep practicing as designers always should and get a little site up so you can start trying to get some freelance gigs.

hi, have you ever think to do you own business like my girlfriend a few years ago, when she graduated from university at 19 years old. now, we run printing business.
