Wow, I can't even really remember. I think that I was running a clan on an online game I played (lame, I know), but I wanted to get a really cool site up and make some cool banners for that. So I downloaded the photoshop CS2 trial and things just went from there.

Now I'm doing web design for various clients on the web and have my own blog and have CS3. Life is good

I like the idea of working from home a lot. I enjoy being in a comfortable environment and I just loved computers and art so design seemed like a good fit.

My father is a decorative painter, so maybe I got it from him. I just rolled into it basically I wanted to be able to make the most impressive things I could imagine. Still working on that part though

I started out as a graffiti artist about 10 years ago and have always been interested in all forms of art. Then I bought a computer and when I first got online I saw all this amazing digital art and thought "I want to do this as well". So I started doing Photoshop battles, websites etc. and then it just kinda took off from there.

Default My start in design

My first job out of college was a sales/marketing position for a tiny relocation department in a real estate office. Their brochures, cards, letterhead were awful, so I redid them. All I had at the time was that crappy layout app that comes in MS Office (Publisher?) but I enjoyed the hell out of it and got a ton of complements from coworkers, clients, printers, etc. That pretty much ruined me for anything else from then on . . . my mind was always on how soon I could get out on my own, and about a year (a software upgrade and lots of practice) later, I did.

From the time I was in grade school I always knew I wanted to be an artist of some kind when I "grew up" - I was even selling art and having exhibits while in junior/senior high. In 1974, when I was a senior in high school, the book Graphic Design - by Milton Glaser - was released and I knew the career path I wanted to take.

Comic books.
I'd start by putting a blank page next to a cover and try to copy it.
Then I started to make my own characters, but the funnest part began to be making and designing the title.

Well I've always been interested in art and drawing as a kid, and you know every kid at one point has always thought of becoming an artist when he/she "grows up". But then my parents always say it's a job that doesn't give you a stable income and all that shiz. (Ok, getting out of point here.)

My first contact with photoshop and flash was in secondary school during our art lessons, but back then I didn't really like it. I was more into traditional drawing and stuff.

But it was only a couple years back I started to get more into photoshopping and web design like that because we had to study Graphic Comm and Web Design as part of our course in pursuing a diploma in Mass Communication. I began liking it and even got into DeviantArt, which inspired me even more to better myself in this area.
