Visual Experimentation in Films
Just watched Across the Universe last night . . . a great style of movie. Visually beautiful and engaging, with Beatles songs as the musical numbers. Highly recommended!
But it got me thinking . . . you don't see many movies that use non-traditional visuals to tell their stories (usually it's more a gimmick than effective storytelling). I can think of A Scanner Darkly and Fantasia . . . I'm sure there are many more out there . . . seen any? |
