Default Trying to promote this website...

I'm trying to find a very good way to promote this website (and hopefully I'm not putting this in the wrong forum but you're all so smart and nice)

http://www.bluedawnmedia.net

The site's goal is to gather a broad range of little topics that are related to 'tourism' mostly, and that are rarely found in brochures or other websites.

So far we went with:
* sites like StumbleUpon, Del.icio.us, Digg,
* business cards the author hands out like they were candy in a kindergarten,
* some targeted e-mails to people or organizations who are involved with the daily topics,
* and the author was posting comments on various sites with back links to ours (might not be the best way as it may be considered spam)

Response was great in the beginning, peaking with 588 visits on one day, but the last two weeks went from low traffic to really poor. Given the nature of the site, having such wide variety of topics of interest, what would you consider the best approach to promote it?

Thanks so much for your input!

Thank you Alyce!
The budget is rather small actually...

I think the problem with the site is the home page has no ways to draw you in really. When i went to the site i wasn't sure where to go or what it was about. I think you should list more content on your home page and make it a bit easier to navigate.

I thnk this will help people stick with the site more.
