Like everyone who has a business website, I've been trying to market the heck out of it. Over the past several months I've looked into every imaginable form of promotion and website directory.
I must have somewhere registered with a website called, Respond.com, which as I understand is a yellow pages type directory which you pre-qualifies leads who then are given your name. That sounds dandy but the cost is pretty steep. I'm wondering if any design studio or web design studio uses this service? I'd love to hear feedback on people using this--it sounds like it "could be" a good source of leads but its more than I'm spending on Google and I'm already spending a lot there. Chris Powers |

I don't really submit my site to directories. I tend to work on natural link building by providing quality content. I would say stumble upon will be your best friend for marketing your design portfolio. Along with networking online and hitting up classifieds and such.
Also you can never go wrong with doing some search engine optimization. |

I think the best way to drive traffic to your site ( i get about 1300+) uniques a day) is to offer something original that people want to find.
It's a bit off topic, but I supply photoshop brushes, tutorials and fonts on my portfolio site. This exposes my work alongside those resources and helps me get noticed. Think about what you can offer, and why people would want it, how many people want it etc and this will help drive traffic to your site. Offering something original, and getting useful traffic is better than getting a lot of useless uniques. Hope this helps, seems to work with me. Adz
