Default New Resume Paper

I just ordered some classic crest natural white and cream colored paper from Neenah paper for my updated resume and I'm excited to see how nice it comes out. I will let you guys know as soon as I'm done with my resume and maybe I can take some photos.

Any of you guys have some favorite papers for particular projects such as resumes?

I usually just go to office max or staples and look at all the different types of paper until something catches my eye.

I recommended checking out some online paper suppliers for the best stuff such as Neenah paper.

Default Resume paper

I like a brilliant white paper, not an off white paper. Off white will fade in with the rest of the resumes and not get noticed. Hold good packages of different brands up together. Now tell me you can't see a difference with two very different shades of white. I held, a domtar brand up beside a xerox brand and noticed the difference right away. One was whitest white and one was off white. And there is a difference between "bright" and White". I use 24lbs because that is the weight that is available at staples for me. It depends, for a higher position or if you really want to showcase a new degree, I would use a Resume paper with a watermark. Might as well go with plain 100 per cent cotton resume paper. If the paper already has a watermark, I wouldn't get fancy patterns like linen or parchment because then it simply becomes too pretentious. Mine is Southworth Curriculum Vitae Paper Maybe your job you are applying to is middle or middle to high end. Then use bond, laid or linen with no watermarks which are all classic good choices. In some cases watermark paper is not a good choice. If you were applying to a Staples or any company which sells their own competitive paper, then I would not go with a paper with a watermark because it shows a little disrespect to the company to which you are applying to. I would then just use a brilliant white computer paper that is available in a store, with no watermark and a regular look. I use Xerox bright white Premium Laser paper. This is also great if you want to use a good quality, but not so fancy looking paper. It will still be noticeable enough that quality paper has been selected. There is a good hp option available for those of you with laser jets, it is even heavier weight, very white and probably produces even better image quality.
AS for color choices, the only safe choices are white, off white (but not the best choice), ivory or light gray...no blues, reds etc. Your color choice is really just a matter of preference. I like brilliant white and light gray best, but my options are much more limited in the store for gray because we don't want marble or speckled paper for our resumes! You can use an inkjet but set your ink shade to 85% gray or a dark grey setting, your result will look closer to a laser printed one.

For scannable resumes (only required when mentioned by the employer) which are not too common anymore, everything just mentioned is no longer relevant. You want to go with a 20 lb weight paper so it will scan. White, off white, ivory, and light gray will scan. I have used use staples brand copy paper in light gray and received a reply. You can use and inkjet, but then you must use blackest black setting of ink, and bright white 20lb paper.

A photocopied resume is acceptable but only if copied perfectly. so, why bother trying to find out if your resume is a perfect photocopy? So I only provide an original resume.

We've had a presention by Artic Paper at school, and they have some really nice quality papers, everything from ordinary writing papers to paper that is thick and exclusive, and papers in various glossiness.

Jordans: Try to give your post some air. It screams for paragraphs.
